Audition tips:

  • Concentrate on the Personality weakness, not the hobby, or style.

  • Use the style or hobby for costume concepts only.

  • Give your character a name you find interesting. Consider making the name relevant to the character's personality: For example, in Thomas Hardy's, 'Far from the Madding Crowd', the lead character, who was strong and reliable, was named, 'Gabriel Oak'!

  • Be ready to talk for about one minute for each character.

  • Audition for more than one part. Don't get your heart set on only one role. Remember: your primary goal is to get into the Show as an actor. Once you're in, then worry about your character.

  • Remember: there will be many other acting parts, as this story evolves.

  • Remember Emily Goldsmith!
