BookMatch is a new program that gets kids excited about reading and

exposes them to lots of great books.  

In the program, kids form teams

and are given a list of books for the competition.  

Among their teams,

the kids will have to read all of the books on the list and know them

well enough to answer tricky questions in a competitive setting.  

The current list has six books: 

Becoming Naomi Leon, A Wrinkle In Time,

Tuck Everlasting, Frindle, The City of Ember, and Al Capone Does My

Shirts.  

The kids have one month to read the books before the

competition in April, and there will be a practice session halfway

through so they can try out some sample questions.  

The program culminates in a fun competition where the kids test their

reading-recall abilities and go head to head with their book

knowledge!
