Starting in Charlestown, The bunker hill monument - http://www.nps.gov/archive/bost/Bunker_Hill.htm

USS Constitution - http://www.ussconstitution.navy.mil/ (yes, it is still commissioned and sailors fight for the posting)

Paul Revere house (with all other freedom trail sites in the sidebar - like old north and old south churches, Faneul hall, etc.)

The 1775 stuff starts in Charlestown, but it moves through Somerville, Medford, Arlington and then into Lexington, Lincoln, and Concord.  The reenactment schedule is here -

The main page (www.battleroad.org) has a sidebar with additional information.)

The Lexington event, which is very powerful and moving and certainly does not glamorize war, takes place at dawn. They make a big effort to get the kids down to the front.

One page that I have found fun is a Blog set up to chronicle the events of colonial times - it may be more for the grownups though. http://boston1775.blogspot.com/

The black heritage trail is a recent and welcome addition to the Boston walkabout landscape.  It starts at the African American history museum and details important contributions made by a nearly invisible people

another site with a simple chronology (that incidentally explains "powderhouse square") http://bobhartwell.com/AmericanRevolution.htm

My thanks to Kate Adams, for researching and providing this information for us.
